The world's smallest and least expensive U.S.-made
guitar amp!
About the size of a cigarette pack, amazingly it can drive a 4 x 12
cabinet. (We didn't believe it either, so we tried it. And, sure enough,
through the magic of technology, it was actually loud and sounded great,
though the battery didn't hold out long.) It responds to the volume knob
on your guitar and generates a sweet and convincing tube amp overdrive
when cranked. It has its own built-in speaker. It can also be used on
the input of another amp as a fuzz box.

The
Ultimate Guitar Clean Boost
Master Blaster is designed for use with
all styles of playing, is extremely quiet in operation, has a highly
versatile tone control, and can be plugged directly into a variety
of amplifiers. Most notedly, Master Blaster can add up to 9 dB of
clean volume to an amp without coloring the tone in ANY way at all.
Master Blaster can also be set to add a treble “shimmer”
to the tone, or conversely, to “warm up” an overly bright
tone. Master Blaster includes separate tone and volume controls, and
a true bypass footswitch for on/off operation, all powered by a 9V

Grit
has controls for gain, bass, grit, treble, and volume. The unit is
also equipped with two foot switches (on/off and boost), booth of
which are equipped with LEDs to indicate their status. Thanks to the
dedicated bass control and the aforementioned grit knob, which shaped
the upper midrange character of the pedal's tone, it's a snap to dial
the normal channel into a wide range of realistic overdrive sounds
than combine clarity, muscle and a tube like responsiveness to attack
and pick dynamics. Kicking the pedal into boost mode-something that
can be accomplished even when the pedal is bypassed-produces a compressed,
liquid wail that sings as if Carlos Santana himself were trapped inside
the circuit board. There are no Oscars for Best Overdrive Pedal, but
if there were, the True Grit would certainly win that honor. --Tom
