This is our testing ground. These instruments off a unique opportunity for you to partner with Fender in road testing various new (and sometimes old) features that we develop on a daily basis. Whether it is a new bridge, or wood combination, or a Master Builder designed pickup or electronics, it will usually end up on a Pro Series instrument first. Most features found on these guitars would be only found on Master Built one-offs.
The Custom Shop 2011 Closet Classic Pine Stratocaster Pro is a truly remarkable guitar, with a body fashioned from 100-year-old pine and a distinctive Closet Classic lacquer finish that imparts the look of a long-lost but newly rediscovered instrument.
Other special features include a lightly tinted quartersawn maple neck with a large C shape and vintage-style butt-end truss rod adjustment, round-laminated 22-fret maple or rosewood fingerboard with 9.5" radius and 6100 frets, Master Design pickups with five-way switching and no-load middle/bridge tone knob, single-ply parchment pickguard, Custom Classic tremolo bridge, Gotoh® MagnumTM locking tuners, wing string tree, blonde case and certificate of authenticity.
