    1.5 channels and built with the same quality construction and components, the Spitfire is DA’s heralded clean channel with DA’s signature dual volume/gain controls. For added boost and versatility, the Spitfire features a tone-lift boost switch as well, allowing 3 distinct sounds from this amp. Contains a 3-position “low focus” control allowing the player to control the amount and focus of the low end relative to higher frequencies. Half-power switch on rear panel. For a vintage but updated look, the Spitfire amps use a British tan tolex wrapped front panel with inset perforated metal grille on black or matching British tan headshell. Ready for all voltages. 4 x “Winged C” EL34 power tubes and 4 x 12AX7 preamp tubes. 100 watts. 2 button footswitch with TRS/Stereo cable.

    The Spitfire line features the same quality construction as our other products with a more vintage tone. The Spitfire line is two products: The Spitfire (the one channel, truly vintage model) and the Spitfire II (our 2 channel version).

    The Spitfire I (the one channel version) is based on Diamond’s heralded clean channel. It has the controls you want and need: Volume A, Gain A, Presence, Bass, Middle, Treble, Volume B and Gain B. Our clean channel has gotten DA rave reviews from the players. It provides you full, round and rich clean tones not customary in high-gain heads with enough headroom to give you vintage/classic rock tones and everything in between. The Spitfire I also adds a switchable tone lift for a killer lead boost.

    This head features DA's signature dual volume/gain design. This feature gives the player the option of having two gain settings (say for a rhythm and lead tone, or more gain for chunky heavy gain-style rhythms and less gain for more precision and clarity when playing more staccato style passages) that are accessible to him on the fly. This gives you the versatility to cover the clean, blues/Texas blues, vintage/classic rock tones as well as a few a little hotter!

    To retain versatility and functionality, all the Spitfire products have a real, correctly-designed effects loop. You do not need a foot switch; you do not have to push a button. Just plug a cable into the effects send and the loop activates. The loop is tube buffered and will not affect your tone.
